Summer Battery Drop-off Events Coming to New Brunswick!

Hey New Brunswick! Summer is here, and the Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! team is hitting the road. We are hosting three special battery drop-off events across the province, with help from our valued partners in Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John to help you power up your recycling routine this summer.

Celebrating the Winners of our 2026 Earth Month Contest

April was Earth Month, and over 16,000 Canadians helped us celebrate by participating in our Earth Month Contest. From April 1 to 30, Canadians tested their battery recycling knowledge, through an interactive quiz, for a chance to win cash prizes.

Keep Batteries out of the Trash and Recycling Bins

Batteries should NEVER be placed in the trash or regular recycling bins, as they can become damaged and cause fires at waste processing facilities.

DROP OFF: The Final Step of Safe Battery Recycling

It’s important not to store used batteries in your home for too long, where they can become corroded. Whether you use a lot of batteries or just a few, we recommend dropping them off at least every three months to prevent corrosion and battery leakage.
