From May through August, Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! will be attending several of the City of Toronto’s Community Environment Days, and we’d love to see you there!
At our booth, you can
- Drop off your used household batteries;
- Pick up a free battery collection cube to safely collect used batteries at home;
- Learn everything you want to know about battery recycling.
Bring your Used Batteries, Electronic Waste and other Household Hazardous Waste for convenient drop-off, and ensure that it is responsibly managed.

By recycling your batteries properly, you’re helping to keep harmful chemicals out of landfill, keeping your community safe, and supporting a healthy circular economy.

Join Councillor Chris Moise (Ward 13) and the City of Toronto for a day of community cleanup and conscious living.
We’ll be there with everything you need to start collecting and recycling your batteries at home, with free battery collection cube to take home too!

WHAT ARE COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT DAYS?
Organized by the City of Toronto, Community Environment Days are part of the city’s Long-Term Waste Management Strategy, an initiative that helps reduce landfill waste and supports safer ways to dispose of household items.
At each event, you can:
- Donate household items like books, clothing, and small household items;
- Recycle electronic waste, household hazardous waste such as household batteries, paint and lightbulbs;
- Pick up free compost (bring your own container);
- Buy a kitchen catcher for organics for just $7.
