Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! is a battery recycling program run by Call2Recycle Canada, Inc.
Call2Recycle Canada, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1997 to protect and preserve the environment by collecting and recycling consumer batteries across the country.

How does it work?
The Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! program is funded by battery manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers – who are obligated by provincial recycling regulations to ensure the batteries they produce and/or sell are responsibly recycled when they reach their end of life.
Obligated producers remit Environmental Handling Fees (EHF) that are used to fund the program. EHFs are fees per unit sold that represent the cost of recycling at end of life.
Results
Since inception, the program has recycled over 40 million kilograms of batteries, keeping them out of local landfills and recovering the valuable materials that can be used to create new batteries and other products. Become a collection partner
The collection program is available to qualifying businesses and public agencies, including retail locations, manufacturers, property managers, waste management facilities, and local government.
